上海嘉和公益基金会于二零一七年十一月在上海民政局登记设立，旨在通过支持贺理士嘉道理爵士青年发展中心的“贺理士嘉道理爵士餐旅业良师益友项目”（简称“良师益友项目”），实现“助人自助”的公益理念。

Shanghai K Charitable Foundation was registered in November 2017 under the Shanghai Bureau of Civil Affairs with the purpose of helping others help themselves by supporting the Sir Horace Kadoorie Hospitality and Mentoring Programme at the Sir Horace Kadoorie Youth Development Centre in Shanghai.

该项目于2015年发起，向贺理士·嘉道理爵士（1902-1995）一生的慈善事业致敬。贺理士·嘉道理爵士曾在上海居住，同时也是一位备受尊敬的酒店业先驱，企业家和慈善家。

Founded in 2015, the programme pays tribute to the late Sir Horace Kadoorie, CBE (1902-1995), a former resident of Shanghai and an admired hotelier, businessman and philanthropist.

良师益友项目为国内贫困年轻人提供餐旅业专业技能和人生技能培训， 帮助他们有能力融入城市生活，并且自给自足过上丰盛的生活，成为同类青年的典范。项目所招募的贫困青年为16-22岁，家庭收入低于当地平均收入水平，比如精准扶贫建档立卡户，低保家庭，孤儿等等。

The programme provides a holistic approach in hospitality technical training and life skills to youths in their teens to early twenties from disadvantaged backgrounds so that they may learn a trade, gain the knowledge for urban living and lead a productive and self-sustaining life as model individuals in their communities.

良师益友项目已完成两期项目，有32名学员完成培训并顺利入职北京、上海多家酒店。今年我们迎来了62位三期学员，他们将在新落成的贺理士嘉道理爵士青年发展中心完成个18月的项目，并在合作酒店完成6个月的行业体验。良师益友项目三期自2019年9月起，到2021年8月结束。在上海进行。本次筹款期自2019年11月至2020年10月，为良师益友项目三期筹措非限定性捐款，将用于良师益友项目的运行，其中也包括项目人员经费。本次募捐成本为5万元，如有未使用完的善款，将被用于良师益友四期的项目运行。

The programme has completed two cycles with 32 youths graduated. Each of them has obtained a job in hotels in Beijing and Shanghai. This year, 62 youths of Cycle 3 joined the programme and will spend 18 months at the Sir Horace Kadoorie Youth Development Centre and have 6-month industry experience at partner hotels. Cycle 3 is operated in Shanghai, started in September 2019 and will end in August 2021.This fundraising cycle is from November 2019 to October 2020, the grants will be used for programme implementation, including overhead expenses. The cost of this fundraising is RMB50,000. The grant not used will be carried over to Cycle 4 programme implementation.
