Lifeline is aware everyday, that in a supposedly connected world, more and more people face crippling loneliness and depression, struggling in silence due to the stigma associated in talking about their problems.

Lifeline了解到，在这个本应是紧密联系的世界里，越来越多的人面临着严重的孤独和抑郁。他们会因谈论自己的问题而感到羞耻,因而选择在沉默中挣扎。

Our proposed projects continue to address significant long-term goals and are aligned to the core purpose of Lifeline: to support the mental health and wellbeing of English speakers around China.

我们提议的项目将继续实现重要的长期目标，并与Lifeline的核心目标相一致:支持中国各地说英语的人心理健康和福祉。

The growing population we serve持续增长的服务对象

Whilst we provide an English speaking service, 50% of our callers/chatters self-identify as Chinese. Through our live chat and helpline services, Lifeline has experienced a 55% increase in counseling calls/chats from both international and Chinese community members across the country since 2017.

当我们提供英语服务时，50%的来电/聊天者称自己是中国人。自2017年以来，Lifeline通过在线聊天和热线服务，来自国际和中国华人社区成员的咨询电话/在线聊天的数量已经增加了55%。

According to the latest estimates from the WHO, more than 330 million people are now living with depression worldwide, 54 million in China alone, this is an increase of more than 18% between 2005 and 2015 [April 2017] At its worst, depression can lead to suicide. Each year more than 800,000 people die by suicide around the world. Research continues to show that each death creates a ‘ripple effect’ significantly impacting on more than 135 people.

根据世界卫生组织的最新估计，目前全世界有超过3.3亿人患有抑郁症，仅中国就有5400万人，这一数字在2005年至2015年期间增长了18%以上[2017年4月数据]。更糟糕的是，抑郁症会导致自杀。全世界每年有80多万人死于自杀。研究显示，每次自杀死亡会产生“连锁反应”，对超过135人产生显著影响。

The reduction of the global suicide mortality rate is also significantly one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

降低全球自杀死亡率也是联合国可持续发展目标之一。

On going funding is crucial in providing the necessary resources to deliver the helpline and community education programs. Our services are essential to English speakers across China and we have a responsibility and duty of care to ensure the long-term sustainability of the services we provide.

继续提供资金支持对于援助热线和社区教育项目来说至关重要，我们的服务对于在中国各地说英语的人来说是必要的，我们有责任和义务确保我们有能力提供长期可持续的服务。

Lifeline is committed to ensuring the sustainability of the essential community service we provide. Whilst we remain a completely volunteer organization, the Lifeline Operations Team and Advisory Board remain concerned that our current limited funding may result in the service being unable to meet the growing mental health needs of the diverse English speaking community we serve across China

Our focus this year is on securing corporate funding which will enable us to fully support and build the sustainability of operating and managing an essential community helpline service

Proposed Projects 项目计划:

Project 1: Online Funding continues

1. Refresh the online funding campaign incorporating the new branding. Including developing a regular donation option for both individuals and corporate sponsors.
2. 结合新品牌更新在线筹资活动。包括为个人和企业赞助商设立一个定期的捐赠选项。

Refresh our online donation campaign in support of Lifeline launching this new campaign no later than October 10 2019 World Mental Health Day

更新我们在线捐赠活动，支持Lifeline在2019年10月10日世界精神卫生日之前发起这一新活动。

Focus of this years campaign is on what can be achieved through one call or chat as we link one call or chat and the invaluable support provided by one donation

今年活动的重点是通过一个电话或聊天可以实现什么，因为我们每一个电话或聊天都来自每一个捐赠的宝贵支持

“Support someone today by donating 60 RMB to cover the cost of a call or chat with Lifeline”

Project 2: Develop R U OK? Information Kits

项目2：R U OK?市场活动资料包

Develop information kits (both digital & printed collateral) in support of R U OK? events and R U OK? Day for both schools and in the workplace

制作资料包(包括电子版和纸质版)，以便支持R U OK?活动以及为在学校以及工作场所举办的R U OK?日活动。

Project 3. Corporate Sponsorship Development & Sustainability

项目3：企业赞助发展

Focus on developing a corporate sponsorship program with the option to include an employee-matching scheme.  

专注于开发企业赞助计划，包括员工匹配计划

Lifeline will focus on developing a Corporate Sponsorship package to attract funds and grants from the business sector.

Lifeline计划将重点发展一个企业赞助计划，以吸引来自商界的资金和赠款。

Funds will be used to support an expansion of services, operational needs and associated costs to support our sustainability. We will work with Corporate Sponsors to understand their particular interest in supporting our work. Requests for grants/funding are usually on a project basis and the R U OK? Community Ambassador Program is one such program, which is likely to attract corporate funding.

资金将用于支持运营成本和扩大社区外联项目。我们将与企业赞助商合作，了解他们对支持我们工作的兴趣。申请资金通常是以项目为基础。“R U OK? 社区大使项目就是很可能会吸引企业资金赞助的项目。

Project 4: R U OK? Community Ambassador Program

Continue to attract corporate funding for the development of the R U OK? Community Ambassador Program

Our aim is to develop a program, which provides training to community leaders around China to share the R U OK? messaging within their communities by way of a one-hour presentation. We have received many requests across China about our R U OK? programs but have been unable to develop a community program due to lack of funds.

我们的目标是为中国各地的社区活动主办者提供培训，在各个社区里通过一个小时的演示分享R U OK?信息。我们曾收到过来自中国各地的许多关于R U OK?项目的需求，但由于资金短缺而无法实施该项目。

Key outcomes from this program:本项目主要的成果：

1, Participants will develop skills, competency and confidence in the process of asking “Are you ok?” and the important meaningful conversations that follow

2, An understanding and increased awareness of mental health issues and wellness

了解和提高对心理健康问题和健康的认识

3, Participants will learn to engage and build their ability to influence their community with the R U OK? messaging

4, Building Suicide safer communities
